Newby Quilting Bee - The Sashing!

Our next meeting for the Newby Quilting Group has been moved to

July 20th at 9am, at the LDS Church on Todd Valley Road.

We will be sashing our blocks at that meeting. Please

have your fabric selected, your blocks laid out in the order you like

and precut your strips to 2 1/2". you will need 6-7 strips that are the

width of your fabric (40-44"). We will be squaring up our blocks at

that meeting and applying the sashing. You will leave with a

completed top. Then you can have fun attaching more borders if

you wish.

Brenda came over today and we sized her blocks and she got the

sashing on!  I think it looks amazing!

Please bring your larger blocks with you if you would like to make

pillows from them.   I will be showing you how to make a lapped

zipper application for a finished enclosure.  It's quick and easy and

will give you lovely finish.

The quilt shown in the picture above will be finished and we will

have another quilt on the Handi-quilter trolly for you all to try some

free motion quilting!

Those that cannot make it due to prior plans or vacations, we will

have all instructions online here and you may call me if you have

questions or need help.
